“Like the “Schmuck” I am I thought I could mitigate this issue by watching some YouTube Videos and picking up various contraptions, traps and items up from Amazon, Home Depot & Lowes. Big mistake/waste of resources (Time, Money & Effort) – these “Mofo’s” were simply too sophisticated for my attempt and eliminating them. My “Issue” made me increasingly anxious and uneasy; I was truly rapidly losing control over my home. I felt violated and victimized by these vermin! I had already survived COVID-19 a year ago; now I wasn’t looking to get taken out by hantavirus, leptospirosis, lymphocytic choriomeningitis, Tularemia or Salmonella. If you think I’m being dramatic or funny – I seriously suggest you think further; - This is not a joke. Rodents and rodent droppings carry these diseases! These diseases can end your life! 10 Days in the ICU was enough for me! I surrendered and like always I give things 110% and insist on doing my due diligence. I can’t stand being wasteful and having my time wasted by fools and charlatans. Reluctantly, I set off to find a “Sub Specialist” – someone competent and who I could trust to mitigate this problem efficiently, safely, effectively and fairly ($). What an experience this was! I interviewed a handful of potential candidates. One exterminator told me that he could only come to Bayside on Fridays; - This did me no good as I happen to be working literally every Friday. Another exterminator asked me what I wanted to do if he found rats/mice (rodents) in my home? – I suspect he thought I was some “Animal Rights Activist” or some putz who couldn’t comprehend my understanding of how potentially deadly this situation was. Enter “Joe” – “My Savior” – Joe / Elite Exterminating – My Fiancé and I thank you for allowing us to take back control of our home! Your Yelp Reviews were literally – no questions asked – “Spot On” – 100% Accurate! You are truly exceptional and went 110% above and beyond the call of duty for me. So, the question remains, why did I pick “Joe” and Elite Exterminating? Joe answered my call for help immediately; he could sense from my voice, the severity of the situation and the torment that this was causing me. Working around my unpredictable schedule – Joe arranged a “Consultation” via Facetime – Free of Charge; Which lasted over 90 Minutes. Turns out we had a few mutual friends (fellow medical professionals) and apparently, I frequent several Kosher and Non-Kosher restaurants which Elite Exterminating services/maintains. Joe is extremely courteous and respectful; he arrived on-time and was masked up – in accordance with social distancing etiquette. Joe gave me 110% and literally prudently scrutinized every aspect of my home. He identified and sealed countless entry/access points where these “communicable disease spreading monsters” were sneaking in. Joe even found possible entry points outside of my CoOp and helped mitigate this issue as well. Joe safely and carefully applied chemicals to specific areas of my home. He made recommendations of further actions that I would need to take. He even was kind enough to refer me on to a reliable contractor who could help me further. Most important – Joe respected me and respected my time. As a Physician I am all to often asked to refer patients to specialists and sub-specialists. Joe and Elite Exterminating will certainly be a sub-specialist that I can confidently refer others on too. Thank you “Fellow Yelpers” for taking the time to read my review.
