“In late 2023, I hired Bug Busters Pest Control to complete crawl space work that included the installation of a new dehumidifier, treat microbial growth, remove and install new insulation and seal off all crawl space vents. Approximately a year later, in late 2024, they performed an annual inspection which they documented high humidity levels and high moisture levels. In early 2025, Shortly after the annual inspection I found standing water in my crawl space that was reported and they determined the pump connected to the dehumidifier wasn't working, which they charged me a service fee to fix. A few months later It was then found by another company performing work that I still had microbial growth, the dehumidifier was installed incorrectly and unleveled, the dehumidifier was 3 years old when it was installed, the vents were not sealed correctly allowing air flow. This company provided a report which was forwarded to Bug Busters. Bug Busters sent out a supervisor who confirmed all the issues and admitted to the companies mistakes. He promised that they would replace the dehumidifier and install it correctly by hanging it instead of ground stands, they would seal the vents from the exterior and treat all growth. They sent someone out to correct all the issues. This employee was the same one who originally performed all the work. Once he left I reinspected the work and found that the same dehumidifier was left in place and still not installed how the manager stated it would be. I also found that none of the vents were sealed from the exterior. I immediately called and canceled all services and was transferred to the same manager. He requested that they come back out and again try to fix the work but refused to issue any type of refund for the work. He stated he had to wait for his boss to return from vacation before he could proceed any further. He cited many personnel and management issues within the company that has lead to poor work and management follow up. After a month of waiting for a return call from them, nothing. I have sent a follow up email and phone call with no response.”
