“i so rarely leave negative reviews (you can check and see) bc they're really kind of a bummer. but my experience w corky's warrants some feedback. here's the story: - i was a long time customer of corky's and have used their services in some form for 10+ years, both as a renter and as a homeowner. we've been using their services for our home since we bought in 2020 and had no issues up until recently. - in dec 2023, we called in a request for what was apparently an upgraded service (we didn't know). they informed us that the service would be extra, which didn't make sense bc they'd performed it as part of our regular package for as long as we've had them. i have their technicians on my ring camera saying "OK" to me requesting that they perform this service day-of, and was never charged. perhaps an error on their technician's part, but fine. - after some back and forth about cost, we decide to cancel based on the experience we've had during this interaction with the customer service team. to be clear: it wasn't the price. it was the way they handled it. we actually pay more now that we switched to a different company, but no one is snarling at us on the phone when we call with a question. - that being said: during this call, corky's let us go with no argument and confirmed they would cancel our account. - cut to a week later (actually six days); we are billed for a service not performed, that was canceled. i decide to let it ride bc the last customer service experience was so horrendous and i do not want to speak to these people if i can avoid it. i hope it's a fluke. - cut to this week: we are billed again, for a service that was not performed (so weird they remembered to stop sending the technicians but not to stop charging us), that was canceled over a month ago at this point. - i need to rectify the situation; i call corkys, select the accounting dept and do my best to be respectful but firm and state clearly what the issue is. - a woman in accounting tells me she can't help me bc a different dept. needs to listen to the voice recording of the cancellation call (?????) and confirm we aren't to be charged. this sounds like an insane way to run a large business to me, but i say ok. she transfers me. - i speak to someone in what i assume was customer service. i relay the same story. can you guess what she told me? that's right, that she would need to talk to accounting. i expected this. i ask her when i can anticipate seeing this credit. she does not want to answer. i ask her again. twice. she says "if i submit the request today, it usually appears within 2-3 days." getting this information from her was incredibly difficult. you would think i'd have asked her to explain the theory of the universe to me in 30 seconds or less. she was also audibly irritated by my, again, respectful but firm insistence that it is not unusual for a business to give customers a timeframe for an expected refund. at this point i've decided i'm not going to wait for them to act because i've already given them the benefit of the doubt and it's made me miserable every time. i get it: customer service is the pits. people are animals. i worked retail; i know. my goal is never to make someone's day worse, but i appreciate it when people show me the same courtesy, esp. if i'm paying them? i have since decided to dispute the charges with my bank and will also be changing my card number because they've already fooled me twice. they can manage it on the merchant backend now. maybe they'll pull that call recording. anyway: there are other pest control services that have great customer service and technicians for similar prices. corky's is okay until it's not and then it's really bad. proceed with caution.”

“I used Croky’s for months and did not notice any change. After emailing to cancel, they then immediately charged me for another month. I called and asked why, they stated I didn’t reach out correctly to cancel even after I showed them the email. They also promised to pick up the equipment but it’s still all here. They are not friendly and the service doesn’t work, try using another company!”
