“UPDATE: after leaving the review they have been out several times, it looks like the problem is resolved. Seen a couple but they aren’t running very fast and it’s only been one or two. Just need time for the poison that is down to do its thing. I signed up for a maintenance plan. I contacted Marvon/Massey because of a friends referral. We bought a house and quickly find out the previous owner had German roaches. They were infested with them. It was a bad infestation for sure. When I contacted Marvon a representative of the company came out and inspected the house. They stated that they had a new treatment for eradicating them quickly. It was a 700.00 series of four treatments. Maybe 700.00 for spraying bugs isn’t a lot of money to some people but it is to me. I knew the roaches were bad, and I told him that. I asked what happens if they are not gone after the 4 treatments. He stated that they would keep coming back until the issue was resolved. I signed up for the treatment. Before they came out I checked out their website that said guaranteed or your money back! So I felt secure in giving them my business. They came out and treated them the 4 times. Well… guess what… still had bugs! Lots of them. They came out again the next week. Then skipped a week to see if it would just take time. No such luck, so they came out again. The next week they came out again and the guy who was here seemed upset about the promise that his rep made, stating ‘he’ will be back. He stated that he was using something stronger this time ‘something he doesn’t give all his drivers.’ I thought okay… as bad as the roaches were I get it. He said to wait two weeks. We called back in two weeks and the answering service said they would get back with us. They didn’t. I emailed the contact, a guy called me back a day later. He told me that it’s been over 30 days. Ummm, no I called at 2 weeks. I told him the rep said they would keep coming until they were GONE. it is 700!!! He said I needed to get that in WRITING. Hummmm all over the website isn’t writing enough? They did finally come back and they did respray.They said they were good now and I would just need the maintenance plan at 120.00 a quarter. That they would ‘guarantee’ come back between treatments if I had bugs. There were bugs out WHILE they were here! They also put out new traps. I didn’t sign up for a ‘guaranteed’ maintenance plan because they have already proved their guarantees aren’t worth anything. I feel like they waited me out on calling me back so that they could get out of the promise they made me. Basically the roach issue was a little more than they could handle and that many trips was costing them money. Funny thing about not calling me back.. they have called me twice about buying a new plan. Hummmm ? I am attaching pictures of the traps/baits they left the last time when they were here, two weeks ago, when they said they were gone. It makes my blood boil that they took the 700 saying we guarantee it, then when there was still an issue it was all ‘did you get that in writing.’ If you do get them, GET IT IN WRITING because they are all hometown, integrity of a handshake acting until they cannot deliver and then it switches to, did you get that in writing.”

“I enjoyed my experience with Marvon in the beginning. However, as time went on it became more and more inconvenient and I saw little value in the services provided. I used MarVon for termite inspection and warranty and then I added additional services due to ants in my back yard. As time went on it became inconvenient to schedule a time with them to access my backyard (I have a lock and dogs). I asked several times for a consistent spraying and was told that was not quite possible due to the techs making up their own schedule or something of that nature. I even requested that I be the one contacted to schedule services rather than my wife, but this only happened a few times. Long story short, I was able to deal with all of this for a while. But I never got rid of my ants which led to my son getting hurt over the summer. This is because only my front was treated for more than half of the year. My last service was in September. The gentleman did ask if he could come to my home but it was explained that the back yard would not be accessible due to us being gone and our dogs present in the back yard. He said he would just schedule a separate time to do the back yard (which I didn’t think made sense. I would prefer all services be done at once). Camera footage showed the individual was there just over five minutes and sprayed my carport and knocked down a cobweb on my front porch. They never contacted me to enter my back yard after that but I did get a bill. I reached out to another company since I was no longer in contract with Marvon and now month to month, because again I still had issues with ants in my back yard and crickets in my downstairs area (because my back yard is also home to several access points in my home and hadn’t been sprayed for months ). I contacted corporate (since MarVon is no longer MarVon and is instead Massey) and they told me they would request a refund on my behalf and request to cancel services (I have since replaced Massey because I am now able to have a set day and time for my services with another company) and someone did reach out from the local branch and asked when they could finish the job that they keep trying to charge me for (which I will not pay for because services were not completed). I explained in an email response that I have since replaced MarVon/Massey and that services were no longer required and at this time I just wanted to cancel services and my account be zeroed out. I received no response, but I have received several billing reminders. I would not be opposed to using Marvon for termite warranties in the future but I am not interested in being charged for services incomplete and not being listened to. I also am not sure what happened between corporate and the local branch and why my requests are not being honored but it is frustrating. I just want my account canceled and zeroed out due to services not being rendered. I would be more than happy to pay 20 bucks for the carport spray and the knocking down of a spider web though…. But not the 100 dollars for the full service.”

“*** Changed my review to 5 star. After my initial review, they contacted me as soon as they opened on Monday and rectified the situation promptly. Matt was able to come out within the hour of the call and was able to start our treatment plan. Very pleased with our inspection and speediness of correcting the issue! Exterminator never showed up for our inspection appointment. Never received a call either. Very disappointing and will be using someone else.”
