“We have had recurring bimonthly services with Responsible Pest Control for years. No complaints about the pest services themselves since we haven't had any bugs, but I had to cancel today. We got our regular treatment and to my surprise I was charged more than I used to be. There was no warning or notice there would be a price increase. The same thing happened in 2024. During that time, I had to send a question through their portal twice (they resolved the first question without actually responding) before they sent me an email which said "The increase notification was done just via invoice." So my notification was the invoice with increased pricing? That is not advanced notice. I didn't have an opportunity to plan ahead. I let it slide that time because I haven't had other issues with them. Since this is now the second time this has happened, I will be finding a new pest control company. I understand that materials might cost more and you need to cover that, but I'm also dealing with the effects of inflation and to not warn your customers ahead of time is unethical. They just increase prices whenever they want without warning and the service is already completed, so I have to pay for it. I want to work with a company that is honest, upfront, and cares about their customers.”
