“They do a decent job of spraying. However, they show up unannounced and unexpected without appointments. They also show a lack of human decency. My husband was seriously injured at work a year ago, so our income has been significantly reduced. A tech showed up at my door -without calling and without an appointment, again- and rudely demanded money. He said we were behind on payments, and I thought that could be true but couldn’t verify with my husband, who usually handles it, bc he was in surgery. Told the tech I couldn’t make a payment today and mentioned my husband’s surgery (they already knew he was injured). His response: “you pay or we don’t spray”. Once my husband was lucid, I asked him and it turns out that they have our bank info to charge a monthly fee, had been doing so, but didn’t take a payment for June for unknown reasons. Nothing changed on our end. I would have no problem skipping a service due to inability to pay, however most humans would express empathy for the situation or wish him a speedy recovery. Instead, money was the sole focus, and the tech was quite curt and rude. I was not asking him to provide service without payment, simply explaining the situation. He responded as though I were argumentative or expected something for nothing. Not the case. AND it wasn’t even our fault they didn’t get paid! So the rudeness was completely uncalled for! From a human perspective, it’s inexcusable to behave that way, as though we brought hardship upon ourselves, like freak accidents do not occur, like we just chose not to pay despite having the money. In actuality, bad things can happen to anyone. Showing compassion is the way to go, since it is pure dumb luck that it’s not you who is laid up and unable to work, through no fault of your own. One day it could be you, and you will want to be treated with the compassion and dignity that you did not extend to others. It’s an injury that could happen to anyone who climbs a ladder regularly for work, like pest control techs. “There, but for the grace of god, go I.””
