“A tech came by my house today and said Advantage had a service agreement with the previous owners. He wanted a check to renew service or he would have to collect their traps. I said I would be happy to look over a service agreement. He insisted I write him a check right then or he'd take the traps, so I told wasn't writing a check without looking over any paperwork. He proceeded to start digging up the traps by chopping up the yard with an axe and severed our fiber line. He claimed it was the company's fault for being close to their traps. I called the internet support but they had a 30 minute wait, so the Advantage tech took off. He was in such a hurry to get out of here he didn't even take all of his traps. UPDATE: We tried to talk to the Advantage office but they were equally rude. She barely let us talk, interrupting and talking over us. Her only interest was denying responsibility. I don't read mail not addressed to me, so the flyers and letters sent to "Current Homeowner" were irrelevant. Had the technician shown us a service agreement we'd have probably renewed service, we do need termite protection. But what a weird way to do business these people have. Fortunately our ISP was able to run a new line and said they'd handle the claims, so I don't have to deal with this any further.”
