“Do not recommend Bug-Masters LLC I became a Bug-Master customer in 2020 when Bug-Master absorbed the business of my incumbent Termite/Bug service provider. Upon the start of my service, Bug-Master installed termite bait traps around my house. A point of contention throughout the time Bug-Master service my home was the maintenance of two de-humidifiers in my crawl space installed by the original incumbent Termite/Bug service provider. When Bug-Master started my service, they agreed to, and supposedly maintained the de-humidifiers. However, I had to coax Bug-Master repeatedly to remind to them to perform the service. Another grievance was Bug-Master’s processing time of payments. It would take weeks for payments to clear. In 2022, Bug-Master informed me that they would not maintain my de-humidifiers any longer. I was given a couple of used filters, and was told one of these are for my de-humidifiers. Upon inspection of the de-humidifiers this year, both were not working. I decided to find another company that would perform de-humidifier maintenance, and sent Bug-Master a termination letter in July 2024. The new company I hired pulled out Bug-Master’s termite traps (which had become overgrown over the years) and installed new ones on July 29, 2024. Bug-Master’s old termite traps (the ones we could find) were put in a box. Bug-Master stated they wanted them back. On October 21, 2024, Bug-Master came to my house when I was not home and pulled the new termite traps out. I called Bug-Master, and was told that those were Bug-Master’s traps, and it was verified by a barcode. Blatant lie. Do not recommend Bug-Masters LLC”

“I was a customer of Bug Master's for over 3 years, and the product and service were generally fine. I switched to a different company and called to cancel my services, but was told by Jon that I'm not able to cancel because there's a self-renewing contract and I have to jump through some hoops to cancel. So he starts telling me about how I can't cancel because I have a contract instead of giving me the information about cancelling, literally saying, "Well if you had read your contract..." I still don't know how to cancel because the information is not on their website and Jon hung up on me when I got angry about all of this nonsense. Their prices are significantly above average in the area, and they started charging an extra $5 travel fee during the pandemic and never stopped. So a $125 service is actually $130, plus an extra fee if you pay by credit card (the only other way to pay is to mail them a check).”

“Absolutely terrible…. Please read my review before using them. They have terrible service and unrealistic contracts. I can’t stress enough please read the contracts before signing up with them. They will nickel and dime you and can change the price at any time. He plays this sob story it’s so hard but you are running a professional business at the end of the day . It took 2 weeks for them to call me back and they didn’t I had to call them. They tried to then coerce me into transferring my service even though I wasn’t happy with it. Oh and did I mention to cancel the service you need to send a certified mail. There is no other way to cancel the service. You are not reimbursed for the certified letter. Here’s my story… I tried to cancel the service and the day of the had a treatment. She tells me she can’t cancel or reschedule and they will be out. They were supposed to treat the front and back but only treated the front and never left a message that they couldn’t get into my back yard I had to say something. They then wanted to charge another 5 dollar fee because they had to come and treat the back even when I said don’t come cancel the service. The best part is he considers it a “threat” because you write a review. As a PAYING CUSTOMER I should warn people about this company. Lastly he left a voicemail threatening me in but so few words. All I can say is wow! Please be careful and go with a better company. Can’t type a response to his rebuttal but here goes… absolutely I gave you 5 stars for a first time impression and also the incentive that you offer a % off the bill. Which I never got. You still have not done the back yard yet I am paying full price and already being billed. Which I don’t mind because clearly after our conversation you need the money more than I do. I will gladly pay the remaining balance for the service not done to help a failing company (as he claimed in our conversation) with terrible customer service! I already have a NEW terminator for my address and I am not happy with your service … why would I ever want to renew? Now you have publicly stated you received my letter so finally cancel the service and still waiting for the new bill you claim you left on the door. Email it to me and I will gladly be done 😊 I hope this review helps the next person and they are not swindle! Oh one other thing consumers it is for 2 years at first but it is more and based on treatments. I can’t stress enough to read it at the time I just trusted what they were saying and didn’t read the contract in its entirety. I will not be responding to rebuttals after the one below because honestly you are not worth my time. The purpose of this is to state my experience for others and I did so. P.S. I don’t even know this man so not sure what conversation ever happened??? Read the reviews people! Also, here is a text he sent me. absolute hostility just because I wanted to get my bill to pay off the account. I will be adding more of the correspondence to see what you can look forward to. He is unprofessional to say the least. I have reported him.”
