“I wouldn't recommend Dancan to anyone. I have been with them for 2 years and always had trouble. They promise a million things during sign up but don't even deliver a penny value. The technicians tend to just walk around just doing one of two things spending just 10 minutes on the property but in the report they mention around 40 minutes with multiple things being done. When I reached out to the office representatives they just tend to send in another visit and one time, I was even asked for proof. Good that I had my cameras capture everything. I finally canceled my service as I didn't want to deal with this nonsense. At the same time, there solutions aren't that effective too. Recently I wanted to give them another chance as I got verbal assurance from a local technician and when I reached out they tried to bump up the price. I assume they don't care about customers. I representative was mentioning that the price increase is due to a new service being added which was always present on my original service and visits. I am never going back to them and please don't be fooled by the reviews. All my neighbors have same problems and they are going to cancel as well.”

“As a multi-year customer for 2 homes I am baffled as to all of the five star reviews listed. We have run into several problems, some of which we didn't have even prior to contracting pest control with Dancan. I called almost 2 weeks ago & spoke with a young lady who I left a message with for either management/ownership regarding the effectiveness or appropriate quantity of the current treatment because it has been ineffective this entire past year. Never got a phone call back & instead a week afterwards was sent an email scheduling a home inspection. We only get exterior treatment, not interior because we keep an immaculate house inside that has never had an insect problem until now. We also keep an extremely clean outside with primarily grass that is always well kept. So let me outline the issues. The last year we have noticed there has been no change in outside pests which include ants (not fire ants), spiders and earwigs. Just recently they have started coming into our house and that included a large roach which about sent me over the edge. Never have we had an issue with any of this before and we are confused as to where they could be coming in. The problem however is that they are so plentiful outside now and not responding to the treatment that they are even alive to come in. The techs are clearly overbooked & there is no appropriate order for their bookings. Each tech was supposed to have been assigned their own area to make treatment more effective so that they would familiarize themselves with the same homes. That obviously is not the case since many times they are having to also be sent to other areas for follow-ups or due to staffing issues. Employee turnover is absolutely insane. I don't think we have ever had the same tech more than a year and usually it is less than that. Turnover in the office has been equally as crazy and now you're lucky to get somebody to answer the phone. If you have to leave a voicemail, which annoyingly enough seems to be the case most of the time you'll be lucky if they acknowledge you with a text message. Although we have had follow-up treatment, I don't like doing that because the techs are not paid for their time on follow-ups. It also doesn't change when I think either the amount of granules has been decreased to the point where it's not appropriate coverage for the area or treatment needs to be changed to meet the resistance of the pests. We still have ants crawling up the side of our house going into the smallest cracks in the wall, spiders are doing the same with cobwebs a regular chore to clean up and earwigs are just popping up in random places. Treatment thoroughness and time depends on the over scheduling which has greatly reduced the amount of time they can spend at a home. Where they would spend 15 to 20 minutes taking care of everything and having a quick chat about concerns prior to treatment before, it now gets reduced to 5 or 6 minutes total. We get random text messages about a service being scheduled for us less than a month after we already had a service done. So instead of sending you a quarterly appointment reminder once your service is done, they text you 2 days before service they scheduled for you to let you know they'll be out. The date doesn't even necessarily coincide with your previous treatment, it's just a random day around the time you'll be due for your quarterly. The communication lacks greatly probably due to the massive employee turnover. Finally, I went ahead and responded to the odd home inspection email since they were supposedly in our area this week. I didn't receive any type of email confirmation of the appointment or anything and thought maybe it was just because it was the same day booking that they had open. It ended up being a no show, no call and waste of my 2 hours waiting. So I called the phone number on the email to let them know the time frame passed and we will just have to reschedule if I decided to stay with Dancan. Guess what? It went to voicemail. I'm done.”
