“TLDR; horrible customer service, they did not cancel my account after I called to cancel multiple times. I am writing this to warn anyone who is considering hiring Fox Pest Control. On Jan 31, 2024, I woke up to news that a Fox technician was arrested on my block after having broken into a neighbor’s house. I recognized him from the mug shot, as he had serviced my home before. Fox serviced a number of homes on my block. I called Fox that same day to cancel my account. They said okay and that they understood the situation, and that a service manager would be calling me that day. I never received a call back. I assumed they were just going to try to get my business back. I never spoke to the service manager and I moved on with my life, never thinking about it again. Until March 17, 2025, when I received a text message that they were coming to service my home the next day. I immediately called Fox, telling them that I canceled on Jan 31st and that I do not want my home serviced, and that I need to be refunded for the past 2 months. I was put on hold so they could look up the notes from my call on Jan 31st. When the rep came back on the line, they told me again that a service manager would call me. I told them I do not need to speak to someone, I just need my account canceled and I don’t want my home to be serviced. They again insisted that I look out for a call from the service manager. I explained again that I just needed my account cancelled, I don’t care if they feel the need to call me, just cancel my account. I received a voicemail at 4:19pm later that day. They just said “I know you wanted to cancel, and I know you wanted to speak to a service manager, you can call me back at this number.” So that was the 3rd acknowledgement from them that I canceled my account. And no, I did not want to speak to a service manager. They were the ones who insisted that I “look out for a call.” I never asked to speak to a service manager. So naturally I did not call the guy back who left me a voicemail. The next day, I received a text message that a technician was on the way to service my home. I called Fox again, explaining everything that happened. I got extremely frustrated on the phone with them because again they insisted that I wait for a call back from the service manager. I told them that I have a job, I cannot just answer my phone at any time, that I took time out of my busy day to call them to cancel twice already, and that it is absurd for them to not actually cancel even though I called to cancel twice already. A little while later my neighbor contacted me to tell me that there was a Fox truck at my house (he was aware of the burglary and he knew that I canceled — I’m pretty sure everyone on my block canceled their accounts), and I saw the Fox truck on the cameras at my house. As I was calling Fox back yet again, I saw the Fox truck leaving and I hung up. This is clearly a tactic to continue billing me, requiring that I pick up a call from a random phone number at a time that’s convenient for them, instead of canceling my account when I called them at my convenience. Clearly my account should have been canceled the first time I called. And the second time I called. I can only hope they got the message the third time I called. On top of that, later that day I got a voicemail from the same guy (the service manager) saying he was on his way to service my home. This is the same guy who had literally just acknowledged, in his voicemail the day before, that I had cancelled my account. Acting all cheery as if none of this ever happened. Buyer beware.”

“We cancelled after receiving the initial service. The tech, Ryan L., that was sent out was great; friendly and knowledgeable. However due to Fox being unable to more directly, or even within an expected time-frame, address the (likely) rodent we had entering our roofline (no attic access), we had to cancel as that was our primary justification for pest control. Over the phone, we were told it would be able to be addressed via them not being attracted to our home anymore due to spraying which thereby removes insects they are attracted to, in reality it's just a big unknown with no guarantee assigned, and it's not a small sum we'd be committing to. Not to mention we have a neighbor that strongly dislikes any form of pest control. We appreciate that cancelling was not an issue, and they were receptive to feedback over the phone.”
