“I recently contacted Pointe Pest Control to deal with a rather large wasp nest located on the roof of my front porch. A few days later we were visited by their technician Bob Maziarz. Bob seemed like a nice individual and after introductions we left him to do his job (which literally took less then five minutes). Bob thoroughly applied whatever insecticide Pointe Pest Control uses from approximately 15ft away from the nest then jumped in his truck and left. My boyfriend and I watched Bob from inside the house through a window. Once he left we were rather confused and perplexed as to why he literally only applied the spray to the very bottom entry way to the hive rather then the whole thing. My boyfriend wondered if that would be good enough to kill the wasp in the upper chambers of the hive especially the queen. Bob informed us the hive would essentially fall apart in a day or two and if not we could employ a broom to knock down the remains. Well just as my boyfriend surmised upon attempting to remove the hive with a broom the wasp in the lower chambers that received the insecticide were infact dead. However, in the upper compartments where most of the eggs reside still had living adults. In short please don't ever contact PPC to resolve your pest issues they're an absolute joke. We feel like fools now we're out $250 and still have wasp living on our porch. Next time we will handle our Pest problems ourselves and so should you (definitely cheaper). PS. We informed PPC about another issue that turned out to be carpenter bees that was completely ignored. Included photo is the upper portion of the nest still attached to the porch with a living adult wasp in the picture.”
