“Was a customer for 5.5 years. I had no issues for 5 of those years. Did quarterly treatments on time, would come out for free if treatments were needed in between then - overall professional. Then just before Christmas this year I get a call they're offering free attic inspections for rodents. Seemed unnecessary, but I agreed. They had somebody come out and tell me that I had a mice infestation in my attic and I needed to replace all the installation and put in new installation with mesh and other rodent repelling materials. They could do this for the generous price of just north of $30,000. But they'd knock off 5% if we agreed to book in the next two weeks! I did some research, got second and third opinions from other pest companies - and this is complete BS. Mice don't like attics - there's no food or reliable water source. They may intermittently nest up there, but then realize it's not a viable long term solution. Other pest companies made multiple trips to set traps, ensure no active infestation, etc. For Spidex - There was no talk of setting traps or finding alternatives - only this magical 30K dollar solution. Needless to say, we're no longer members. That type of predatory practice should not be rewarded. They avoid the one star review because the previous five years deserve some credit - but not enough credit to offset a grossly unnecessary $30,000 cost.”
