“My termite Bond had expired with my previous pest company and unfortunately, they raised their prices, so I made the mistake of switching to Apex because of a cheaper Termite Bond they offered. Even though it was cheaper, I still paid around $650 for this bond. They came and did inspection and treatment around mid-April. 5 months later I see a soft spot in my bathroom wood. I press on it, and it immediately breaks in and several white termites were there. I called Apex the next morning and scheduled to have a tech come look several days later. The tech came on time and agreed that termite damage had been done and asked me if I got the termite damage bond as well as the treatment bond? I was super confused since the salesmen we had never mentioned a damage vs treatment bond. the purpose of termite bonds, is to cover damage. I get a call saying a different tech was coming out and he showed up about 5 days later. When he arrived, he said the spot I showed him was " water damage, not termite damage" but did see a different spot near it that was termite damage. Even though the other spot is where I physically saw the termites. He informed me that regardless of if I got the damage bond, that it would not be covered because of the small amount of water damage (which is about 1 inch and in the previous location). He said best he could do is drill into my bathroom tile and spray treatment down there but would have to call and schedule at a later time because he didn't have time today. At this point I just agreed to it and said fine. a week goes by and no phone call so I decided to call and was told I would get a call back to schedule in a few hours. Call never came. I call again the following day, and no one answers so I leave a message. 2 days go by still no call, I call again and ask for a manager and I'm told she is off today and will call me back tomorrow. Sure enough call never came. I am at 3 weeks since termites have been seen and still have not received a call. Don't make the mistake of taking the cheaper route like we did.”
