“I have been a Catseye customer for 5 years.. I originally had Orkin but was recommended to Catseye as a premium product for a premium price as my rodent problem was more “advanced”. Service was excellent for the last couple of years. As we have been in our house more during the quarantine, our rodents problem has become worse. Catseye has a lifetime guarantee. We called Catseye about 6 months ago to rectify the problem. It was a little difficult to get a representative on the phone but I thought it was related to Covid. The technician came to our house and tried to fix the problem. The mice went away for about 5 months. About a month ago, the rodents had a resurgence. I have caught about 9 rodents in our house over the past 5 days. During this time, it came to my attention that Catseye was integrated with Terminix (Merger was announced in 2016 but full integration just happened). It has been a customer service disaster of epic proportions 1) I have tried to get a technician to my house. I have spent more than 8 hours on the phone trying to get a customer service rep to pick up my calls as I keep getting put on hold; 2) They were not able to transfer my credit card from Catseye to Terminix. I have been inundated with phone calls saying that I am past due despite always paying my bill in full in the past and actually paying for the last couple of months when no one billed me. I loved the small local feel of Catseye service when they were separate from Terminix but now that Terminix owns them, I am waiting for my contract to end and will re-evaluate my options. To be clear, Mother Nature happens. I am ok with the rodent resurgence but I don’t think I should have to tolerate bad customer service.”
