“I was trying to get pricing on extermination, hoping that I could find someone local, but this seems to be the number for some kind of call center, not a local extermination service. After calling the number listed here on Google Maps, I was asked for my zipcode and then permission to send me text regarding pest control. I agreed because I still wasn't sure what was going on. The lady said she was connecting me to Anderson Pest Control. After answering a bunch of auto-prompts I was sent to a dead phone line. No disconnect, just the sound of a click and then constant silence. All I wanted was a quote on getting rid of some bald-faced hornets. I finally hung up, then received a text message from the call center. It showed that Anderson was a company based over two hours away. What was the point of any of this? Why call yourself a pest control service if you're just a call center go-between? Now I'm annoyed because I didn't get service AND because a call center has "permission" from me to send me text messages. I never would have agreed had I realized that they're nothing more than a middleman. I hate it when companies misrepresent what they do, it always comes off as shady.”
