“Update: Twin Termite came out to the house, reviewed the work performed, and identified other work that had quality issues. They sent someone to repair the identified issues, and made it right with the repairs already completed by our painter. They owned the quality of work that was performed, and made it right to the best of their ability. In May of 2020, our realtor recommended Twin Termite for our home inspection on a house we purchased. During the inspection, they identified and quoted dry rot repairs, that were agreed to by us and the seller. One portion of the repair was a sheet of siding on a bedroom wall. Over the last two years we have experienced that room, being 5 degrees cooler or hotter depending on the weather but figured it was our aging HVAC system. Fast forward to this week, we needed the next two sheets of siding replaced in preparation for painting. During this repair, the contractor nailed through an electrical wire where the sheet meets the section replaced by Twin. As I pulled off that siding, and the siding that Twin replaced, to our shock we realized that the section Twin had removed was missing the insulation in those two wall bays. On top of that, they added new 2x4s on each side to nail to, with one of them cut out for an electrical outlet in the bedroom. Due to this cutout, which had vertical electrical wires behind it, there was no way to nail the siding without hitting the wire.”
